A simple and endearing story about Pip, a little penguin who loves to paint with mud. When his mud runs out, he goes on a quest to find the perfect painting medium, trying ice and moss before finally discovering wet dirt, which makes the best blobs for his art.

Pip liked to paint. Pip liked mud. Mud went splish. Mud went splash. Pip liked it lots.

His mud was gone! Oh no! Pip was sad.

Pip did waddle. Pip did search. He must find mud.

Pip saw blue. It was ice. It did drip-drip. Pip dipped a wing. Blue ice made a thin mark. Pip frowned. No fun.

Pip saw green. It was moss. It did squish-squish. Pip dipped a wing. Green moss made a thick mark. Pip sighed. No good.

Pip saw brown. It was wet dirt. It went glob-glob-glob! Pip dipped a wing. Brown dirt made big blobs! Pip smiled.

Pip did paint! What a mess! Pip made art. Pip was glad.
