In a warm little village on the African hills lived a tiny rooster named Kuku. He was smaller than all the other roosters, but inside his heart lived a soft, glowing courage.

Every morning, the big roosters stretched their wings and crowed loudly: "KUKURUKUUUU!". Kuku tried too, but his sound came out tiny: "Ki... ki... ruu...". The animals giggled, but Kuku kept trying. He believed his little light mattered.

Kuku practiced everywhere — on a fence, on top of a water pot, even on the back of a calm old goat. Every practice made his heart shine a little brighter.

One strange morning, a thick fog covered the whole village. The sun didn't rise. Everything stayed gray and quiet. Children wrapped themselves in blankets. Animals huddled together. The village needed light... but no one knew how to call the sun.

The big roosters tried to crow, but the fog swallowed their voices. Even their strongest "KUKURUKUUUU!" disappeared into the mist. Kuku's tiny heart glowed. Maybe... maybe he could try.

Kuku climbed the tallest rock in the village. His legs trembled, but his heart felt warm and brave. He whispered to himself: "Even a small light can shine." Then he filled his lungs with the biggest breath he had ever taken.

With all his courage, Kuku shouted: "KIKIRIKUUUU!" His little voice sparkled through the fog — bright, warm, full of hope. The sound reached the sleeping sun.

The sun stretched... yawned... and smiled. Golden light spilled across the village. The fog lifted. Children cheered. Animals danced. Everyone shouted with joy: "Kuku woke the sun!"

From that day on, Kuku was known as The Sun-Waker. He learned — and taught everyone — that even the smallest courage, the smallest voice, the smallest light... can brighten the whole world.
