Join Sunny in a vibrant garden as a tiny, sleepy seed transforms into a magnificent rainbow flower. This charming story teaches young readers about plant growth, the importance of water and sun, and how plants interact with friendly garden creatures like ladybugs and bees, all while celebrating the joy and beauty of nature.
Hello! My name is Sunny. I live in a garden full of big, green leaves and colorful flowers. Everything is warm and bright!
One morning, something new was on the ground. It was a very small, brown seed. It looked sleepy. "Hello, little seed!" I whispered.
A friendly cloud named Puffy saw the seed. Drip-drop, drip-drop! Puffy gave the little seed a gentle drink of water. Water helps things grow!
The seed was very happy to be watered. It snuggled down deep into the soft, dark soil. The soil is like a warm blanket for plants.
The next day, something amazing happened! The little seed sent a tiny, white root down, down, down into the soil. The root looks for more water and yummy things to eat in the ground.
The day after that, the little seed pushed a tiny, green shoot up, up, up! It was reaching for the sun! It was becoming a little seedling!
"Wow!" cried the seedling. "The world is so big and green!" It stretched out its two small leaves to catch the sunshine. The sun gives plants energy!
A little red ladybug with black spots crawled by. "Welcome to the garden!" chirped the ladybug. "We are happy to have a new friend."
I told the little seedling, "Plants are very important! They use the sun and water to make their own food." They also help us by making the air clean and fresh to breathe.
The seedling grew bigger and bigger. One morning, pop! A beautiful rainbow flower bloomed on top! It had red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple petals.
A busy bee flew over and happily landed on the rainbow flower. It collected sweet nectar and yellow pollen. The bee helps the flower make new seeds!
We all cheered! The little rainbow seedling brought so much joy and color to our garden. Now you know how plants grow, from a tiny seed to a beautiful, happy flower! Hooray!
