Hello! This is Leo. Today is a bright and breezy morning, perfect for an adventure on wheels. Leo is at the local park with his shiny blue bicycle. He is wearing his cool, bright orange Helmet because safety is the most important rule for any young rider!

Leo meets his friends, Mai and Lam, at the park entrance. They decide to have a "Great Bicycle Race" around the big fountain and back to the oak tree. They aren't racing for a trophy; they are racing for the fun of feeling the wind in their hair!

Before they start, they do a Safety Check. Leo checks his tires to make sure they are "boingy" and full of air. He tests his brakes to make sure they go skritch and stop the bike quickly. He learns that taking care of his equipment is part of being a big kid.

The race starts at the count of three! "One, two, three... GO!" Leo pushes his pedals hard. He learns that his legs are like powerful Engines. The faster he moves his feet in circles, the faster the wheels spin. He feels strong and fast as he zooms past the benches.

Leo reaches the first Big Curve near the duck pond. He leans his body slightly to the side to help steer the bike. He learns about Balance. He has to keep his eyes on the path ahead to make sure he stays on the smooth pavement and away from the grass.

As they pedal up a small hill, Leo's legs start to feel a little tired. He takes a deep breath and keeps going. "I can do it!" he says to himself. This is called Perseverance. He learns that even when things get a little tough, it feels great to reach the top!

Going down the other side of the hill is the best part! Leo lets the bike coast. Wheeeeee! He feels like he is flying. He keeps his hands firmly on the Handlebars to stay in control. He realizes that speed is fun, but staying in control is even better.

Suddenly, Mai’s shoelace comes untied. She has to stop her bike. Leo and Lam see her stop and they Slow Down too. Even though it is a race, they know that looking after their friends is more important than winning. They wait for Mai to tie her lace.

They start the final stretch toward the Giant Oak Tree. The finish line is a long shadow on the ground. They all pedal together, laughing and shouting. It is a very close race! They cross the shadow at almost the exact same time.

"You won!" shouts Leo to Lam. "No, we all won!" says Lam. They realize that the Joy of Playing together is the real prize. They high-five each other and go to the water fountain to take a big, cold drink. Staying hydrated helps them recover after the big race.

After the race, they decide to do some Slow Riding. They try to see who can ride the slowest without putting their feet on the ground. This is a different kind of skill that teaches Leo a lot about Concentration and Focus. It’s much harder than riding fast!

The sun is high in the sky, and it is time to head home for lunch. Leo parks his bike in the garage and gives it a little pat. He feels happy, tired, and healthy. He learned that a bicycle is a magic machine that can take him anywhere.

Leo’s rolling adventure is finished. He can’t wait to come back to the park tomorrow. He realizes that being outside with his friends is the best way to spend a Saturday. If you had a bicycle that could change colors, what color would it be today?
