It is night. The stars are out. Everyone is sleeping. But not me.

I try to count sheep. One. Two. Three. Four. Five. I still can't sleep.

I try to drink water. Sip. Sip. Sip. I still can't sleep.

I try to read a book. The words swim on the page. I still can't sleep.

I try to open the window. The night air is cool and soft. I still can't sleep.

I try to close my eyes very tight. One... two... three... I still can't sleep!

Then I see him. My old bear, Boo. He is sitting on the floor. He looks lonely.

I pick up Boo. I hold him tight. He is warm and soft.

I don't try anymore. I just hold Boo. And soon...soon...
