Sara loves the ocean and wishes she could breathe underwater to play with the fish. Her mom explains the difference between how humans and fish breathe, leading to a heartwarming solution for Sara's wish.
One day sara goes to the beach with her family to enjoy the summer. Her favorite thing was going into the sea floating on the surface and looking down.
She saw tiny a fish playing with his friends.she wanted to play with the fishes but she realized that she could not breathe under water.
Sara ran to her mother and asked her, Mom why can’t i breath underwater like a fish?
Her mom smiled and said, let’s talk about how we breath and how the fishes breathe.
The air we breathe is full of special and invisible gas called oxygen. Our bodies need oxygen to get the power our body needs.
And under the water there is also oxygen there, but the difference is there is much less oxygen in the water.
Sara asked, so how do the fishes breathe under water if there is not enough oxygen in there?
Her mom response, they have something called GILLS. Those frilly parts are called gill filaments and they are filled with tiny blood vessels.
Gills helps them to separate oxygen from the water so they can breath, but we don’t have gills that’s why we can’t breath under water.
Sara was happy to know how the fishes breathe underwater.but at the same time she also feels sad that she can’t play with the fishes under water.
her mom said to her, don’t worry I will buy you a beautiful golden fish and I will put it in the glass with full of water so you can play with it.
Sara was very happy to hear that, sara thanks her mother for making her the impossible becomes possible.
