That night, his teacher gave him a book called “The Art of Listening.”
On the first page it said: “People love to be heard more than to be impressed.”
2. The Listening Test The next day, Ben tried something new.
When Lucy told a story, he didn’t interrupt. He just nodded, smiled, and asked, “Then what happened?”
Lucy’s eyes lit up. “You’re really listening, Ben!”
Ben grinned. It felt… good.
3. The Power of a Smile At lunch, Ben saw Tom sitting alone.
He walked over and smiled.
Tom smiled back — shyly at first, then brighter.
