جزئیات داستان

Barnaby the bear was grumpy. Very grumpy! His cave was dark. Too dark! He could not see his sparkly rocks. His socks were always mismatched, one red, one blue, but he didn't care.

One sunny morning, a buzzing sound tickled his nose. A big, bright bee zipped past his furry face. The bee held a tiny, shiny rock! Barnaby grumbled.

Stay in his cozy, dark cave? Or follow that flashy bee?

He sniffed. The bee smelled like warm flowers and sweet honey. Barnaby's tummy rumbled. He stomped a mismatched foot. "Grrr," he rumbled.

The bee zoomed away, sparkling rock in tow. Barnaby blinked. His cave felt even darker now. He took one step, then another, out into the bright light. The sun felt warm on his fur. Much warmer than his cold, dark cave.

The bee whizzed over a wobbly log. Barnaby groaned. Logs were tricky. He shuffled his big paws, carefully stepping. Wobble, wobble, wobble! He almost fell! But he didn't.

He looked up. The bee was waiting, hovering above a shimmering puddle. "Buzz!" whistled the bee, doing a little loop-de-loop. Barnaby peered into the puddle. It glittered! More than his favorite rock!

Next, the bee flew up a steep, sandy hill. Barnaby puffed. Climbing was hard work! Sand slipped under his heavy paws. He slid back a little. "Hmph," he snorted, huffing and puffing.

He thought of his soft, cool cave. But then he saw the bee at the top, dancing around something extra shiny! Barnaby pushed and pulled, his muscles working hard. He reached the top, gasping.

He saw it! A huge, smooth, purple rock, shining like a thousand stars. He forgot all about his grumpy mood. He forgot all about his dark cave. He had found the most wonderful, sparkly rock of all, right here in the sunshine!
