Barnaby, a bear, had a tiny hat. It sat on his nose, flat as a mat.

He picked red berries, yum, what a treat! His hat fell off, right at his feet.

His friend, a squirrel, gave a quick peep. "Your hat!" he squeaked, "It's in the deep!"

Barnaby found it, gave a big grin. His silly hat, where did it spin?

He picked blue berries, sweet and so round. His hat flew off, without a sound.

It landed high, on a tree limb. His friends jumped up, a happy vim!

Barnaby found it, gave a quick cheer. His silly hat, always so near.

He picked black berries, dark as the night. His hat fell off, took a wild flight.

It floated down, on a big leaf. His friends all laughed, beyond belief.

Barnaby found it, gave a big shout. His silly hat, friends helped him out!
