Hello! This is Mai. One morning, she found a small, white kitty sitting on her balcony. But wait! This was not a normal kitty. The kitty had two soft, tiny wings on its back! Mai named her Angel.

First, Mai brings a bowl of milk. She learns about Feeding. Angel laps up the milk and purrs softly. Purr, purr! Mai learns that when a kitty is happy, it makes a beautiful, rumbly sound in its throat.

Next, Angel flaps her wings. Flap, flap! She flies up to the top of the bookshelf. Mai learns about Height. She looks up and sees that Angel can reach places that Mai cannot. The kitty looks like a little white cloud.

Now, it is time to play. Mai uses a piece of red string. She learns about Agility. Angel jumps and spins in the air to catch the string. Having wings makes the kitty very fast and very bouncy!

Suddenly, Angel flies out of the window and into the garden. Mai learns about Discovery. She follows the kitty to a tall tree. Angel is sitting on a branch, talking to a little bird. They are best friends!

Mai sees a butterfly. Angel flies behind it. Mai learns about Colors. The butterfly is orange, and the kitty is white. They look like colorful dots dancing in the green garden.

The sun is very bright. Angel finds a spot under a big leaf to hide. Mai learns about Shade. Even cats with wings need to stay cool when the sun is hot. Mai brings a little water for her friend.

Next, it starts to get windy. Angel’s wings shake a little bit. Mai learns about Safety. She calls Angel back inside. She learns that a home is the best place to be when the weather changes.

Mai finds a soft brush. She learns about Grooming. She brushes Angel’s white fur and her tiny wings. It feels as soft as silk. Angel closes her eyes because she loves being brushed by Mai.

Now, it is evening. The sky is turning purple. Mai learns about Rest. Angel is getting sleepy. She curls up into a white ball on Mai's lap. Mai feels the kitty's heartbeat. It is very calm.

Mai looks at the moon. She learns about Friendship. She realized that it doesn't matter if a kitty has wings or not. What matters is that they are kind to each other and share happy moments.

Finally, Mai puts Angel in a small basket with a soft blanket. She learns about Goodnight. She whispers a secret to the kitty and kisses her head. The wings fold down, and Angel goes to sleep.

Mai’s kitty adventure is finished. She closes her eyes and dreams of flying over the world with Angel. She realized that Magic is a Best Friend. If your pet had wings, would you fly to the moon or to the beach?
