Penny the Spoon, all spotted and bright, Sang to her soup every day and night. "Stir magic, dear soup!" she'd sing with a grin,
Hoping some magic would bubble within. One morning she sang, loud and so clear, But oh! What a surprise, the soup leapt in the air! Splash! It flew from the pot with a funny, wet flight,
Landing with splatter, a giggly, big sight! Penny squealed, "Oh no!" and chased the wild splash, Soup dripping and dropping, making a dash.
From kitchen to hall, to the big front door, Friends from far lands all heard the splash-tore!
First came Miko from Japan, with chopsticks in hand, Slipping on soup drops like skipping on sand.
Next was Lila from Spain, her dress all askew, Splashing and laughing, with soup on her shoe.
Then came Sam from Ghana, with a wide, cheerful shout, Joining the chase, trying to catch the soup out.
Penny sang again, softer this time, Soup stopped its wild dance, no longer a crime.
Together they giggled, the friends and the spoon, Soup on the floor shining like a bright, silly moon.
Penny thought, "Magic is not just to make stew, It’s laughter and friends, and a splash or two!
The soup had escaped, but it brought us delight— A messy, fun chase on a bright, sunny night!
So Penny the Spoon with her polka-dot cheer, Found the best magic is moments so dear. With friends all around, a big, hearty laugh, Soup flying or not, it’s the best kind of craft.
