There was a sunflower named sunny.everyday suuny would perform a slow dance.

Everyday when the sun rose from the east sunny would turn her face directly at the sun.

Her every day routine was following the sun, from the sunrises to the sunsets.

The other flowers found this very strange and asked sunny, why do you waste all your energy following the sun? Why don’t you just standing like us?

And sunny replied, the more sun light you get the more food you can make by a process called photosynthesis.

And the other flower said that’s why you grow taller, but can you tell me more about how photosynthesis works, asked the other flower?

Sunny said yes of course, photosynthesis is how we use the sunlight, water and air to produce our own food.

The magic part is we also we also can produce oxygen.the other flowers asked, also the oxygen but how?

Sunny answered, we have cells that contain chloroplasts in our leaves. When sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide combine in a process called photosynthesis, plants produce glucose and release oxygen.

Oxygen comes from water. Water or (H₂O) is made up of two hydrogen and one oxygen. During photosynthesis, plants use the hydrogen from water to produce food, and they release the oxygen. That’s how oxygen is produced and released into the atmosphere for humans and animals to breathe.

The other flowers said, now we understand, thanks for the answer.

After the other flowers understand why would the sunflower follow the sun they started to follow the sun to get more energy and produce the magic oxygen to give to the humans and animals to breath.
