Barnaby the Baba Yaga loved buttons. Not bones, but buttons! His favorite was a big, sparkly one. It glittered like a thousand tiny stars.

One morning, the button was GONE! Barnaby shrieked. Oh, a crisis! A colossal, shiny crisis!

He tumbled out of his chicken-legged hut. "My button!" he wailed.

He zipped to a big oak tree. "Tree, where is my button?" The tree just stood there. Barnaby stomped his foot. "You saw it!"

Barnaby zoomed to a chattering squirrel. "Squirrel! My sparkly button! Where?" The squirrel twitched its nose. It buried a nut. Barnaby put his hands on his hips. "Don't play coy!"

He zoomed faster to a grumpy badger. "Badger! Have you seen my button? The one with all the sparkle?"

The badger grumbled. It pointed a claw to a shimmering moss patch. Barnaby gasped.

There it was! His button, winking in the sun. He hugged it tight. It was the best button ever.
