Cat, Turtle, and Bird huddled tight, “You’re a hugging menace!” they said outright.
Baggy sagged, “I only wanted love,” it whispered slow, Just then—clink!—a dented can rolled past with the wind’s blow.
The animals thought fast, an idea took flight, “Hey, Baggy, hug trash instead!” they said with delight. SWOOSH! Wind carried Baggy to the can—crunch!—then to the paper—squish! “You’re all so perfect!” Baggy cooed with a swish.
A big truck rumbled up—beep, beep!—its back wide open, “Recycle roundup!” the driver called, his words clearly spoken.
“I’ve found my hug crew!” Baggy crinkled, snug in the bin. Loved at last, feeling happiness within.
