Max opened his toolbox and gave a big grin. “Today I’m building instruments! Let’s begin.”

“I want to make music and dance along, But I need some instruments to play the song!”

Max found a can and with a little hop, He hammered the lid and sealed up the top.

He held a pencil between finger and thumb, And played the can just like a drum.

“This drum sounds great, but I’m not through, Let’s make maracas so I can shake them too!”

He found a tube, an instrument in disguise! And measured to see if it was the right size.

Using a saw, he cut and made it look nice. Then Max taped up the ends and filled it with rice!

Shake, shake! Max loved to play! He danced and shook in a musical way.

Next, an instrument to blow. Which will he choose? Max found some pipes and metal to use.

He twisted the wrench and gave it a press. Max built a trumpet! It was a success!

Max had three instruments, ready to go. A drum, maracas and trumpet to blow!

He went to the stage and performed his song. Everyone who saw him danced right along!

The crowd loved the way Max could tap, blow and shake. And went home to see what instruments they could make!
