RED means STOP! with a fiery GLOW! Stop your feet and don't you GO! Cars will stop and wait right there, For all the people everywhere!
YELLOW means WAIT! with a wobbly light, Get ready with all your might! Wait on the pavement, safe and sound, Before the green light comes around!
GREEN means GO! with a cheerful BEAM! Walk on now, follow your dream! Use the crosswalk, black and white, To cross the street so safe and right!
But one boy with a flying cape, Made a very silly escape! He zigged and zagged across the street, Which really isn't very neat!
"Walk straight across, and you will see, How safe and smart a walker you can be! Inside the lines of white and black, There's no danger you will lack!"
"Look to the LEFT, and look to the RIGHT, Use your eyes with all their might! If the coast is clear, then you can say, 'It's time to cross the street today!'"
A family of ducks began to stray, Waddling the busy, wrong way! "Quack! Quack! Come back!" the light did cry, "Your feathered feet should never fly... across there!"
A squirrel dashed out, oh so fast! He thought his nut would be his last! "Darting and dashing is a risky race, Just walk calmly to the other place!"
"Never play between parked cars, no way! That is not a place to stray! If a driver cannot see, Then a big oopsie there could be!"
Now let's play a game with me! RED! — Freeze like a statue! YELLOW! — Wiggly, wobbly, oh so fatuous! GREEN! — March along, you're doing great! Now give your head a little SHAKE!
