Hello! This is Sam the neighbor. Sam lives in a busy city and loves visiting all the important Public Places in his community!
First, Sam visits the Library. It is a quiet place full of books! Sam can Read any book he wants for free. He knows he must whisper inside the library.
Sam goes to the Post Office. He mails a Letter to his grandma who lives far away. The post office helps people send and receive mail and packages.
Sam visits the Fire Station. He sees the big, red Fire Truck and meets the brave firefighters. The fire station is where the firefighters wait, ready to go help the community quickly.
Sam goes to the Grocery Store with his family. The store is full of Food—fresh vegetables, milk, bread, and fruits—that the community needs every day.
Sam visits his School. This is where he spends most of his days learning and playing! The school is an important public place for all children to grow smart.
Sam sees the Police Station. It is the place where police officers work to keep the city safe. They use special cars and computers to help everyone follow the law.
Sam goes with his parents to the Bank. The bank is where people keep their Money safe and get help with saving and spending.
Sam sees the Hospital. It is a very important place where doctors and nurses help sick or hurt people get better. The ambulance brings people to the hospital quickly.
Sam visits the Public Park. It is a large, open space for everyone to play, relax, and exercise outside for free.
Sam realizes that all these places—the library, the school, the store—are Community Hubs that we need to keep our city working well.
Sam knows that being a good citizen means using these public places wisely and helping to keep them clean for everyone!
