Hello! This is Mai. Today, she is playing with a giant bottle of soap bubbles in her backyard.

She blew a bubble so large and strong that it didn't pop; instead, it carried her gently up into the sky!

Higher and higher she went, until she bumped into a soft, white floor. She had arrived at the Kingdom of the Clouds!

First, Mai steps out of her bubble and realizes the ground feels like a giant, warm marshmallow. She learns about Softness and Density. Even though clouds look like solid mountains from the ground, they are actually made of tiny drops of water and ice. Up here, they feel like the world's biggest pillow.

Next, Mai meets the Cloud Architect, a friendly spirit who shapes the clouds with a giant silver comb. She learns about Cumulus Clouds. These are the fluffy ones that look like sheep or castles. The Architect shows her how to "pinch" a cloud to make it look like a galloping horse.

Mai finds a path made of dark, heavy clouds. These are the Nimbus Clouds. She learns about Precipitation. When these clouds get too heavy with water, they turn gray and start to leak. She sees a small "rain-door" where the water falls down to water the flowers in her garden below.

Suddenly, the sky turns bright orange and pink. Mai is standing in the Sunset Gallery. She learns about Light Scattering. As the sun goes down, its light has to travel through more air, which changes the colors of the clouds from white to beautiful fiery shades of gold and violet.

Mai sees a bridge made of shimmering colors stretching between two cloud towers. This is the Rainbow Bridge. She learns about Refraction. When sunlight hits the water droplets in the air at just the right angle, it splits into seven beautiful colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.

She finds a group of Cirrus Clouds high above her. They look like thin, wispy feathers. Mai learns about Altitude. These clouds are so high up that they are made entirely of ice crystals! They are the "wisps of hair" of the sky, signaling that the weather might change soon.

In the center of the kingdom, there is a Lightning Forge. Mai watches from a safe distance as the clouds rub together to make a spark. She learns about Static Electricity. Just like rubbing your socks on a carpet, the clouds build up energy until it jumps out as a bright flash of light!

Mai finds a Wind-Whistle. When she blows into it, a gentle breeze moves the clouds around like giant boats. She learns about Atmospheric Pressure. She realizes that wind is just air moving from a "high" place to a "low" place, pushing the clouds across the big blue map of the sky.

Next, Mai discovers the Cloud Echo Chamber. When she shouts, her voice bounces off the soft walls. She learns about Sound Travel. In the quiet, high air, her voice sounds clear and bright. She sings a little song, and the clouds seem to vibrate with the happy melody.

As the moon begins to rise, the kingdom turns a cool, silvery blue. Mai learns about Moonlight Reflection. The clouds act like giant mirrors, catching the light from the moon and glowing in the dark. It is the most peaceful place she has ever seen.

It is time to go home. The Cloud Architect gives her a small, fluffy "cloud-seed" to keep in her pocket. Mai learns about Memories. Even though she has to return to the solid ground, she will always remember that the sky is a busy, beautiful place full of life and color.

Mai’s cloud adventure is finished. She floats back down to her backyard on a tiny, soft cloud-leaf. She looks up and waves goodbye to the castle in the sky.

She realized that the weather isn't just rain or sun; it's a giant, moving art gallery. If you could live in a cloud, would you want it to be a sunny white one or a stormy purple one?
