Belle loved her father very much. She helped him every day.

One day her father went on a long trip. He walked through a dark forest.

Soon he came to a large castle. The castle was quiet.

He went inside the castle. He saw food on a table. He was very hungry.

He ate the food. Then he saw a beautiful rose. He picked the rose for Belle.

Suddenly a Beast came. The Beast was big and scary.

“You took my rose,” said the Beast. “You must stay here forever.”

The father was very afraid. “Please let me go home,” he said. But the Beast kept him in the castle.

Belle came to the castle. She stayed with the Beast. Her father went home.

At first Belle was scared. But the Beast was kind.

They became friends. Belle saw that the Beast was kind. Every day he said, “Will you stay with me?”

Every day Belle said, “I will stay.” She was not afraid. She was a good friend.

One day the Beast became very sick. Belle was very sad. “I care for you,” said Belle.

Her tears fell on the Beast. Suddenly there was magic. The Beast changed into a prince.

The Beast was really a prince! Belle and the prince were happy. They lived happily ever after.
