Socks and Shoes' Friendship
A heartwarming tale of an old pair of Socks and muddy Shoes who, after arguing and separating, realize their friendship for each other.
There once was an old pair of Socks, so thin and worn, And a pair of Shoes that got dirty—oh, how forlorn!
“Look at you!” said Shoes, “You’re such a sight!” “You’re messy!” said Socks, “Not clean or bright!”
They argued and split, their friendship was gone, And leaving the little boy feeling all wrong.
Socks didn’t want to go inside Shoes, And Shoes didn’t want to have Socks too.
Poor Feet, owner the little boy, couldn’t walk quite right, One foot in just a Sock, one foot in just a Shoe—what a sight!
The world outside had paths with dust, Sock got dirty, missing the Shoe's snug trust.
And Shoe, without Sock, got stinky and wet, From sweat and mud—it was upset.
“Oh, Sock!” cried Shoe, “I am messy and sad!” “Oh, Shoe!” cried Sock, “My wear is so bad!”
They ran back fast, through slip and slide, Socks hugged Shoes, no longer wanting to hide.
“Thanks, Shoes,” said Socks, “For keeping us clean!” “Thanks, Socks,” said Shoes, “You make us gleam!”
Back on Feet they went, a pair so tight, Worn and dirty together—what a lovely sight!
