The Magic Picnic
A charming rhyming story about two feuding neighbors, Mr. Grump and Ms. Frown-Face, whose long-standing quarrel is resolved by a magical picnic blanket that blurs the lines between their properties, leading to an unexpected friendship.
Two homes stood, fences high, Old bad blood, time flew by.
A breeze blew free, a picnic square, Landed half here, half over there.
Mr. Grump stomped, a frown so deep, Ms. Frown-Face woke from a sleep.
They both walked out, to claim their prize, But magic played before their eyes.
They stepped right on, with feet so near, The fence turned clear, banishing fear.
No line they saw, no wall between, Just green, green grass, a wondrous scene.
They looked at earth, so soft and brown, No longer just their half of town. The flowers bloomed, a happy sight, Both sides were one, with morning light.
They touched the cloth, so red and white, No more a squabble, no more a fight. The blanket showed, with simple grace, A friendly smile on every face.
