On a hill where tall trees grow, under stars that shimmer and glow, lived Milo, the moonlight fox, with a flickering tail!

Each night, Milo danced through shadows and streams, weaving his whiskers into children’s dreams. But he was too fast and quiet to be seen!

"I wish I had a friend to play," said Milo. He asked a grumpy owl, “Do you want to play?” The owl said, “I’m far too busy—I hoot till dawn each day.”

Then Milo found a sleepy bear curled beneath a tree. “Not now, young fox,” said the bear, “Dreamland’s calling me.”

Milo sighed and spun around, his silver tail swept the ground, feeling a little lonely as he looked for a friend.

Then a tiny voice chirped, “Hello!” It was Luna, a soft cloud-kitten floating high in the sky. She said, “I’ve watched you run and twirl, I’d love to join your moonlit whirl!”

Milo and Luna zipped through meadows and danced on lakes, painting the stars with sparkling comet flakes. What fun friends have!

When the sun began to rise, Milo smiled with sleepy eyes. “I found a friend,” he said softly, curling up in a flower bed, his tail glowing softly. Two best friends under the blue sky!
