Zest: Hello! Today, we are with Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Giggle Academy. First of all, could you please introduce yourself? CZ: Hello! I’m Changpeng Zhao, or CZ for short. We founded Giggle Academy to promote equal opportunities in education. Our platform offers storybooks, vocabulary lessons, and literacy programs for children from grades 1 to 12, completely free of ads and charges. Our goal is to ignite children’s curiosity and creativity by making learning fun through gamification.

Zest: How did the idea of such an accessible and free platform come about, CZ? CZ: I believe education is a fundamental right. Millions of children worldwide have access to the internet and mobile devices; we wanted to harness this potential to encourage them to learn in a fun and engaging way. With a small but passionate team, we collaborated with child development experts and educators to build the platform from scratch.

Zest: What are the key features that set your platform apart from others? CZ: Our biggest advantage is that it’s completely free and ad-free. Whether connected to the internet or not, children can develop essential skills like vocabulary, numbers, and colors through games and activities. Plus, personalized learning paths allow each child to progress with content suited to their level.

Zest: How can parents and teachers benefit from Giggle Academy? CZ: Parents can observe their children developing independent learning habits and social-emotional skills. Teachers use the platform as a supplementary resource in their classrooms; games and stories enrich in-class activities. Offline access is especially helpful for families in rural areas.

Zest: What age groups do you cater to, and how are the contents prepared? CZ: We offer content for all age groups from grade 1 to 12. Together with education specialists, we design fun and educational stories, games, and activities tailored to children’s developmental stages. We regularly update our content to keep children engaged.

Zest: Which languages are currently available on the platform? Will you be adding more? CZ: Currently, we mainly provide content in English, but we also support several local languages. We plan to add more languages in the future to reach children worldwide. Community requests may accelerate this process.

Zest: What measures do you take to ensure children’s safety and privacy? CZ: Safety is a top priority for us! The platform has no ads, we don’t collect personal data, and we provide age-appropriate content. Regular security updates keep the platform safe, giving parents peace of mind.

Zest: Do you have special methods to boost children’s motivation? CZ: Absolutely! We use progress badges and story completion rewards as digital medals to encourage kids to keep learning. Combining fun with a sense of achievement helps maintain high motivation.

Zest: What types of games and activities are available? How do children interact with them? CZ: We offer a wide variety of activities such as word matching, story creation, and simple math games. Children can interact with these on tablets or phones. Some games also work offline, making them ideal for both individual and group play.

Zest: Is there a feedback system for parents and teachers? CZ: Definitely! We provide feedback forms and support lines where parents and teachers can share children’s progress or suggestions. This helps us continuously improve the platform.

Zest: How robust is your technological infrastructure? How does offline access work? CZ: Our infrastructure is stable, fast, and optimized for low bandwidth. After the app syncs with the internet for the first time, all content is stored on the device, so it can be used anywhere without an internet connection.

Zest: What are your future plans for the platform? CZ: We plan to add new language options, age-specific games, and guide materials for parents. Our small but passionate team keeps growing every day!

Zest: How do you address different learning styles among children? CZ: We support visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Animations cater to visual learners, storytelling to auditory learners, and games encourage learning through movement. This way, every child can learn in their own way.

Zest: What role does community involvement play on your platform? CZ: The community is very important to us! We develop new themes and activities based on suggestions from children and parents. We are also active on social media to gather feedback.

Zest: Finally, what is the core message Giggle Academy wants to convey to children? CZ: We tell children: Learning is an adventure, and it’s completely free for you! Be curious, dream big, and grow and smile with Giggle Academy. Discovering the world through education is in your hands!
