Historie

In a big green garden lived a tiny red ant named Perky. He was the smallest ant in the whole hill.

On top of the tallest grass blade sparkled a beautiful dewdrop. “Whoever drinks it will become the strongest ant in the garden,” everyone said.

The big ants laughed. “You’re too small to climb that!” Perky just smiled. “I will try.”

Perky started climbing. One step… two steps… a strong wind blew — whoosh! He slipped halfway down.

He got up, brushed off the dirt, and climbed again. Light rain made the grass slippery — slip! Down he went again.

A third time, a beetle flew past and shook the grass. Perky fell all the way to the ground.

All the other ants had already given up. Only Perky remained. He whispered, “I’m not tired yet.”

This time Perky climbed in a slow spiral, holding on carefully with every leg.

The sun grew hot. Perky was tired and thirsty, but he kept going.

Finally… just one more step! Perky touched the cool, shining dewdrop.

He drank one sip. Suddenly Perky felt strong and proud. The best feeling wasn’t being big — it was never giving up.

From that day on, whenever anyone wanted to quit, the garden told the story of the tiny ant who fell a thousand times to reach one dewdrop.

And everyone learned: you don’t have to be big to reach the top — you just have to keep trying.

Perseverance is not never falling — it’s getting up one more time than you fall.
