Eggy the kitty was soft and white — as white as a cloud in the sky.
Her friends were bright and cheerful — the yellow duck, the green frog, and the red fox.
Eggy looked at herself in the water. “I have no color,” she sighed. “Maybe I’m just… nothing.”
The duck splashed and quacked, “Colors are fun! Go find one, Eggy!”
So Eggy rolled in the grass. “Now I’m green!” she giggled.
But when the wind blew, the green faded away.
Next, she jumped into the pond. “Now I’m blue!” she meowed.
The water dried, and so did the color. Eggy was white again.
At sunset, she played with the orange light. “Now I’m golden!” she purred.
But when night fell, all colors disappeared.
Eggy curled up and whispered, “Maybe I’ll never have a color of my own.”
Then she looked up — the moon was smiling, and her fur was glowing silver-white.
“White is light!” she whispered. “And light holds every color inside.”
The next morning, her friends gasped. “You’re shining, Eggy!” said the fox.
Eggy purred. “I don’t need to borrow colors anymore. I carry them all in my light.”
Every light shines in its own way — and even white can be the warmest color of all.
