In a shady jungle lived a little peacock named Plum. His tail was full of colors, but he always kept it closed.

Every morning, the other birds showed their wings: parrot red, kingfisher blue, sunbird gold. Plum stayed quiet.

One day, the sky turned gray. Rain poured. All the colors in the jungle looked washed away.

A baby monkey cried, “I miss the rainbow! Everything is sad and gray.”

Plum felt something warm inside. “Maybe my tail can help,” he whispered to a butterfly.

He stepped into the clearing. Took a deep breath. Slowly… slowly… he opened his tail.

WHOOSH! His tail spread wide like a giant fan. Every color of the rainbow sparkled in the raindrops.

From that day, Plum opened his tail every morning. The jungle woke up happy and bright.

When new baby birds felt shy, Plum showed them: “Your colors are gifts—share them!”

Plum learned that hiding beauty makes the world gray, but sharing it paints rainbows everywhere.

On cloudy days, animals looked for Plum’s tail—it became their own little rainbow.

Every year on the first rain, the jungle celebrates “Plum Day” with color parties.

And the jungle stays forever colorful, because one shy peacock decided to shine.
