On a warm sandy beach lived a tiny red crab named Ziggy. His claws were shiny and his eyes sat on long sticks.

All crabs walked sideways—zip-zap left, zip-zap right. “That’s the crab way!” they clicked proudly.

Ziggy wanted to walk straight ahead. “I want to see where I’m going!” he told the seagull.

He tried—step, step—straight! But he tripped over shells and bumped into his cousins.

“You’re funny, Ziggy, but you’ll never be a real crab,” they teased. Ziggy hid under a rock, sad.

Next day, a big wave carried a baby turtle far from her family. She cried on the wet sand.

Sideways crabs couldn’t reach—she was too far up the straight path. Ziggy saw his chance.

He took a deep breath. Step—step—straight! He marched right to the turtle.

With his strong claw he flipped her gently. “Follow me!” He walked straight back to the sea.

Mama turtle rushed over. “You saved my baby!” She kissed Ziggy with her flipper.

The cousin crabs clapped. “Your straight walk is amazing!” They tried too—wobble, wobble.

From then on, some crabs walked sideways, some walked straight—whatever felt right.

Ziggy taught the babies: “The beach is big enough for every way.”

Ziggy learned that being different can save the day—and make new friends.

Every sunset, turtles and crabs walk together—straight or sideways—side by side.

And the beach stays the happiest place, because one little crab dared to walk his own way.
