Little River, always flowing back, Felt a shiver, a worried attack. Children watched her, with smiles all gone, Their happy faces, now puzzled and drawn.

She looked for wisdom, so far and wide, To the Great Waterfall, her hopes inside. She swirled past pebbles, so smooth and gray, But still flowed backward, day after day.

Then a tiny frog, with eyes so bright, Hopped in her water, with all his might. He splashed and giggled, with joyful sound, Little River giggled, spinning around.

Next, painted turtles, a colorful show, Dove in her currents, fast and slow. They whirled and twirled, with shells so green, Little River twirled, a happy scene.

At last, little fish, with fins so grand, Zoomed in her waters, across the land. They darted and danced, a shimmering gleam, Little River danced, a joyful stream.

With splashes and swirls, she felt so free, She forgot her worry, happy as could be. No longer backward, she danced along, Singing her happy, bubbling song.

To the Great Waterfall, she finally came, Her journey finished, a shining flame. She crashed and tumbled, with mighty roar, Learning to sparkle, forevermore.
