The Watercolor Wish In a quiet town painted with soft watercolor strokes, a boy named Theo walked along the riverbank. His hair flowed like gentle blue washes, and his clothes carried warm shades of orange and gold.

Today, the river looked pale and lonely. Theo noticed an old man trying to lift a heavy basket of apples. The colors around him seemed faded, as if the painting itself was tired.

Theo hurried over. “May I help you?” he asked.

The old man smiled, and suddenly his face brightened with warm watercolor pinks. “Thank you, young one. My hands aren’t as strong as they used to be.”

Together, they carried the basket to the market. Every step Theo took added new colors to the world—soft greens in the grass, deeper blues in the sky, shimmering reds in the apples.

As they reached the stall, the old man placed a small apple in Theo’s hands. “For your kindness,” he said.

Theo shook his head. “I don’t need a reward. I’m happy to help.”

But the old man insisted, placing the apple gently in his palm. “Kindness is a color,” he whispered. “When you share it, it spreads.”

Theo walked home, the apple glowing like a bright watercolor sun.

And everywhere he went, the world seemed just a little more beautiful.
