Princess Anna and the Butterfly Whispers
Princess Anna loves her mismatched socks, but a royal ball requires matching ones. She worries about losing her ability to hear butterfly whispers, only to discover the true source of their magic.
Princess Anna, oh what a fright! Mismatched socks, a happy sight. She heard butterfly whispers, soft and low, But a royal ball meant matching show.
"No socks!" she cried, with a tear and a shout, "My butterfly friends will all fly out! They'll stop their chatter, their secrets sweet, If matching shoes cover my feet!"
First, she stuck bright flowers, red and grand, Behind her ears, held by her hand.
"Can you hear me now?" a butterfly squeaked, Anna frowned, her big heart creaked.
Next, a giant trumpet, made of tin, She aimed it outward, took it all in.
"Buzz, buzz!" it answered, a busy bee, But no butterfly secrets for Anna to see.
A fairy godmother, with a giggle bright, Watched Anna fuss with all her might.
Then Anna closed her eyes, so very tight, She listened with her heart, with all her light.
And what do you know? A soft, sweet sound, Butterfly whispers, all around! Not in her socks, not in a flower, But in her heart, in that happy hour.
