Binno and the Turtle Who Needed Time Binno was walking along the lakeside path on a bright Saturday morning. He loved watching ducks swim, frogs hop, and dragonflies zoom like tiny helicopters.

But today, something unusual caught his eye. A small turtle was sitting in the middle of the bike path, not moving at all.

Binno knelt beside it. “Hey little guy… are you okay?” The turtle slowly peeked its head out, nervous and unsure.

🚴 Trouble on the Path Just then, Binno heard voices: “Watch out!” Three kids on bikes were coming fast down the trail.

Binno’s heart jumped. If the turtle stayed there, it could get hurt. But running into the path with bikes speeding toward him felt scary. His legs trembled. His mind raced. What do I do? What if I trip? What if they don’t stop?

The turtle blinked up at him, trusting him. Binno took a deep breath. He made his choice.

🐢 A Courageous Rescue Binno stood tall, stepped into the bike path, and stretched out his arms. “STOP! Turtle on the road!”

The kids squeezed their brakes and skidded to a safe stop. “Whoa!” one said. “Good thing you warned us!”

Binno gently picked up the turtle. Its shell was cool and smooth. He carried it to the grassy edge by the lakeside.

The turtle slowly crawled toward the water, dipping its tiny feet in the lake. Binno smiled. “You’re safe now.”

🌤️ A Lesson by the Water One of the kids rode up to him. “That was brave, Binno. You didn’t even hesitate.” Binno laughed nervously. “Oh, I hesitated! I was really scared. But… the turtle needed help.”

The kid nodded. “That’s what courage is.” Binno watched the turtle swim away. It turned once, as if giving a silent thank-you, before disappearing under the water.

🌟 Moral of the Story: Courage doesn’t mean you’re never scared — it means you care enough to help anyway. Even small acts of bravery can protect those who can’t protect themselves.
