Once upon a time, high in the sky, a cheerful little sunbeam named Sunny wiggled with excitement. “Today is my big day!” Sunny beamed. “I’m going to travel the whole world and learn all about its colors!” With a hop, skip, and a zip, Sunny soared through the sky, waking up the world below.

Sunny’s first stop was a meadow full of flowers swaying in the morning breeze. “Hello, flowers!” Sunny giggled. “What makes each of you so special?”

“I’m Rosie the Rose,” said one flower with a blush. “My red petals mean love!”

“I’m Daffy the Daffodil,” chimed another. “My yellow color spreads cheer!”

“And I’m Violet the Violet,” a shy voice added. “My purple petals bring peace.”

Sunny swirled with delight. “You’re all so different, but together you make the meadow so beautiful!”

Next, Sunny peeked into a bustling city full of people. Sunny noticed children laughing, and music playing from a street corner. Sunny saw clothes in bright reds, blues, and greens, and heard voices singing songs in many different languages. “Wow,” Sunny whispered. “Everyone here is so unique, and yet they’re all sharing the same happy space!”

Sunny’s last stop was a sparkling blue lake surrounded by animals. The animals were chatting about their day: “The wind helped me soar high!” said an eagle. “The water gave me a cool drink,” said a deer. “And the earth gave me crunchy carrots!” giggled a rabbit. Sunny realized, “Even though you’re all different, you take care of each other. That’s what makes your lake so special!”

As the day came to an end, Sunny stretched its warm rays one last time. “Today, I learned something amazing,” Sunny said. “Every color, every voice, and every story makes the world brighter and more beautiful.” With a big, happy swoop, Sunny painted the sunset with every color it had seen: the reds of Rosie, the yellows of Daffy, the purples of Violet, the golds of the city, and the blues of the lake.
