Story Details

In a small, sunny town, there lived a boy named Ben. Ben loved exploring his backyard, climbing trees, and watching clouds. But he often felt lonely. He wished he had someone to play with.

One day, Ben saw a girl named Mia sitting on the swings at the park. She was kicking her feet slowly and looking a little sad. Ben thought, Maybe I can be her friend!

Ben walked over and said, “Hi, Mia! My name’s Ben. Do you want to play?” Mia looked up, surprised. “Really? No one’s ever asked me to play before!”

Ben smiled. “Of course! Friends share fun. We can race or play tag. What do you like to do?” Mia’s eyes lit up. “I love drawing in the sand! I can show you my favorite spot.”

They ran to a quiet corner of the park where the ground was soft and sandy. Mia drew a picture of a flower with her stick, and Ben said, “Wow, you’re so good at this!” Mia felt proud.

Then Ben had an idea. “Want to try my favorite game? It’s called Cloud Shapes!” Mia grinned. “Sure! How do we play?”

Ben explained, “We lie on the grass and look at the clouds. Then we say what shapes we see!” They lay down and giggled as they spotted a cloud that looked like a dragon.

When they sat up, Mia said, “Thanks for playing with me, Ben. You’re a great friend.” Ben grinned. “It’s easy to make a friend when you’re kind and share fun.”

From that day on, Ben and Mia played together every day. Ben learned about drawing, and Mia discovered new cloud shapes.

And do you know the best part? Ben didn’t feel lonely anymore. He learned that being a friend is the best way to make a friend.
