Story Details

One sunny morning, Puppy was happily playing with his favorite ball when he noticed something was missing. "Where’s my stuffed bone?" he wondered. Puppy looked all around, but it was nowhere to be found.

The next day, something else was missing—his favorite ball! "Oh no! First my stuffed bone, and now my ball? What’s going on?" Puppy looked sad and puzzled.

Determined to solve the mystery, Puppy searched every corner of the house. He looked under the couch, inside the laundry basket, and even in the kitchen. But the missing toys were nowhere to be found.

Puppy decided to keep watch. That night, he hid behind the curtains and stayed very still. "I’ll catch the thief this time!" he thought. But all night long, Puppy didn’t see anyone. Even though he was tired, Puppy stayed determined and kept watching carefully.

The next morning, Puppy spotted the thief! A little mouse was carrying away one of Puppy’s towels. Puppy barked, "Hey, stop right there!" The startled mouse froze, trembling.

The mouse explained, "I’m so sorry, Puppy! I didn’t mean to upset you. I needed soft things to build my nest, but I should’ve asked first." The little mouse looked very apologetic.

Puppy forgave the mouse and said, "Let’s find the right things for your nest together!" Puppy led the mouse to the backyard, where they gathered leaves, feathers, and soft materials to make the perfect home.

From that day on, Puppy and the little mouse became great friends. They often shared things and played together. Puppy learned that helping others made him feel even happier than playing with his toys.
