Story Details

One day—BOING! A giant green booger named Bloop bounced out of a boy’s nose.

Bloop wasn’t an ordinary booger. He had googly eyes that wiggled, and a squeaky rubber-duck voice—“QUACKITY-QUACK!” He could even change his size and shape, just like slime.

Bloop bounced and landed—SPLAT!—on Bop Street. BOING!—he shouted, “QUACKITY-QUACK!” louder than a trumpet. But here’s the trouble: Bloop couldn’t stop bouncing!

BOING! He crashed into Mrs. Puff’s bakery. “QUACKITY-QUACK!” he squeaked, wiggling his googly eyes.

Bloop bounced wildly around the shop, knocking over trays of cupcakes. “My cupcakes! My cupcakes!” Mrs. Puff wailed. She grabbed a broom—SWAT!—and shooed him. “Out! Out! Out!”

BOING! Bloop bounced to Mr. Grump’s garden—SQUISH!—and squashed his prize tomatoes. “QUACKITY-QUACK!” he hollered.

“My tomatoes! My tomatoes!” Mr. Grump roared, waving a rake—WHACK!—to chase him off. “Go! Go! Go!”

Bloop bounced back onto the street. Along came tiny Tina with a net. “I’ll catch you, Bloop!” SWISH! She swung—missed! SWISH! Missed again! “Bouncing boogers are tricky!” she huffed.

BOING! Bloop bounced higher—up, up, up!—and—SPLAT!—stuck to a cloud. “QUACKITY-QUACK!” he squeaked, wiggling, wiggling, wiggling.

The cloud sneezed—Achoo!—raining sticky booger bits from the sky. “Ewww!” everyone yelled. “Ewww!”

Tina had an idea. “A sticky booger needs a sticky trap!” She poured honey—drip, drip, drip—on the ground.

BOING! Bloop bounced down—SPLAT!—and stuck fast. “QUACKITY… quack…” His squeak slowed. His bounce stopped.

“Gotcha!” Tina cheered. The town clapped—CLAP, CLAP, CLAP!

Bloop wiggled his googly eyes and whispered, “Quackity-thanks!” See, Bloop didn’t mean to cause trouble—he just wanted to stop bouncing!
