Moora and the Moon’s Missing Pieces
When Moora the cow accidentally breaks the moon with her moo, she must call its name, "Moo...Moon," to bring it back piece by piece.
Once there was a cow named Moora, Who mooed all day—there was no cura! Moo at the sun, moo at the stars, Moo at the moon from near and far!
One night, Moora mooed at the moon so bright, But something strange happened—it gave her a fright!
The moon’s round face, so big and full, Wobbled and jiggled, then lost its pull. A piece fell off, then another two— “What did I do with my mighty moo?”
The moon shrank smaller, night after night, Until it was gone—no moon in sight! “Oh no!” cried Moora, “The sky is so black, I must fix the moon and bring it back!”
So she mooed at the stars, she mooed at the lake, She mooed at the shadows the moon used to make. She mooed, and she mooed again and again, But this time, she mooed it clear: “Moo...Moon! Moon!”
Then one quiet night, with her softest call, A tiny sliver of moon came small. “Moo...Moon!” she cried, as it started to grow, From sliver to slice, like a lantern’s glow.
Each night, she mooed, and the moon would gleam, It grew from a slice to a silvery beam. It became a half, then a gibbous round, And Moora’s “Moo...Moon!” echoed all around.
Finally, the moon was full and bright, Glowing golden in the sky that night. Moora grinned and gave one last “Moo...Moon!” And the moon stayed steady, a bright balloon.
Now she mooed every phase, from new to full, She mooed its name and restored its pull. And so the moon danced, a bright balloon, All thanks to the cow who mooed the moon!
