Story Details

One day, the sun stayed up too long.

"Time for bed, Sun!" yawned Owl. But the sun blinked brightly. 'I’m not sleepy!'

The sky stayed orange. The moon waited. The stars blinked and waited too.

Down below, Baby Fox rubbed his eyes. 'I’m tired,' he said. 'But it’s not dark!'

Mama Fox sang a lullaby. But the sun kept shining.

"Maybe the sun forgot how to sleep,” whispered Little Star. 'I’ll help!'

So Little Star twirled and sang: 'Close your rays, close your light, Time to rest and say goodnight.’

The sun yawned a golden yawn. 'Okay… just five more minutes.'

Then it blinked once, blinked twice… and slipped behind the hills.

The moon rose, the stars danced, and the world grew calm.

Baby Fox curled up. 'Thank you, Little Star,' he whispered.

And the whole forest slept in silver peace.
