Max's Special Home
On a cold, rainy day, Max turns his disappointment into creativity by using living room furniture, to build the perfect home...a pillow fort!
Rain fell against the window and grey clouds filled the sky. Max let out a long sigh. “No going outside today.”
He sat down to read one of his favorite books. It had pictures of homes in far away places.
Max frowned. “I wish I had a home of my own…”
He looked around and smiled. “Maybe I can build a home, right here in the living room!”
“I need strong walls for my home. What should I use to build them?”
He put the armchair and bookcase together. “These will be my walls!”
“Now I need a roof to go on top. What should I use for that?”
He put a blanket over the armchair. “A blanket roof! Cozy and warm!”
“This floor is too hard to sit on. What should I use to make it soft?”
He put pillows and cushions on the floor. “Ahhh, now it’s comfy!”
“It is dark in here. What should I use to light it up?”
He put the floor lamp inside. “Perfect! Now I have a lot of light.”
“I need something fun to do inside. What should I bring in?”
He got his favorite books from the bookcase. Max snuggled in and began to read.
Other homes are in far away places, but Max’s special fort was the coziest home of all!
