This is NianNian, soft and bright, A cat who dreams both day and night. He wears a crown and holds a brush, “I’ll paint the clouds — no need to rush!”

He finds the sky so big and blue. “A canvas made for every hue!”

He climbs a hill with paints in hand. And looks above the sleepy land.

He dips his brush in morning gold, And paints a sun so big and bold.

He swirls in pink and purple light, To turn the clouds to soft twilight.

He adds a dragon, flying fast, A rainbow whale that cannot last.

A cotton castle, tall and wide. A cloud parade floats side by side.

The breeze blows soft, his colors glide. A shooting star drifts by with pride.

His jar of paint is nearly through. But still, he paints the sky so new.
