Hello! I’m Teacher Dou. Today, Alex and Bella learn Chinese with me. 你好 (nǐ hǎo) — hello.

你好!(nǐ hǎo)” says Teacher Dou 谢谢你!(xièxie nǐ) — thank you for coming!

A puppy runs into class! 这是狗。(Zhè shì gǒu.) — This is a dog. 狗 (gǒu) — dog.

Let’s say it softly: 狗 (gǒu). 狗很高兴。(Gǒu hěn gāoxìng.) — The dog is happy. Palu and Palie pet the puppy gently.

Look—under the chair! A kitty! 这是猫。(Zhè shì māo.) — This is a cat. 猫 (māo) — cat.

Let’s explore! 我们去外面吧。(Wǒmen qù wàimiàn ba.) — Let’s go outside. What new word will we find?

By the pond—jump, jump! A frog! 这是青蛙。(Zhè shì qīngwā.) — This is a frog. 青蛙 (qīngwā) — frog. 它会跳。(Tā huì tiào.) — It can jump.

Repeat after me: 狗 (gǒu), 猫 (māo), 青蛙 (qīngwā). 跟我说。(Gēn wǒ shuō.) — Say it with me. Teacher Dou said Great voices, team!

We made a poster of today’s words. 我们学了狗、猫、青蛙。(Wǒmen xué le gǒu, māo, qīngwā.) We can read them every day!
