The Great Wall of China.A massive wall stretching over 21,000 kilometers (13,000 miles) across northern China.It was built Over 2,000 years ago to protect China from invaders and connect ancient kingdoms.

Petra Jordan,An ancient city carved into red and pink cliffs by a people called the Nabataeans.All the buildings, including the famous “Treasury,” are carved right out of the rock. Petra was once called the “Rose City” because of the color of its stones. For hundreds of years, people didn’t even know Petra existed it was rediscovered in 1812!

Christ the Redeemer Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,A giant statue of Jesus Christ standing on top of Mount Corcovado, overlooking the city.The statue stretches 30 meters tall (98 feet) and opens its arms wide as if to hug the whole world.It took 9 years to build and has survived lightning strikes and storms!Completed in 1931.

Machu Picchu Peru ,An ancient city high up in the Andes Mountains, built by the Inca civilization. It was hidden in the clouds for centuries until explorers found it again in 1911.The stones fit together so perfectly that even a piece of paper can’t slide between them.

The Chichen Itza Mexico. A huge pyramid built by the Maya civilization called El Castillo.It was used for astronomy during the spring and fall equinox, the sunlight makes it look like a snake is sliding down the steps! It has 365 steps, one for each day of the year.Built Around 600 AD.

The Colosseum Rome, Italy A huge circular arena where Romans once watched plays, games, and gladiator battles.It could hold up to 50,000 people like a giant ancient stadium. It was built almost 2,000 years ago and is still standing today.Completed in 80 AD.

The Taj Mahal Agra, India.A shining white marble palace built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.It’s both a tomb and a love story carved in stone.Fun fact: It changes color, pink in the morning, golden in the day, and silver at night.Built Between 1632 and 1653.
