Dizzy the dragon was in distress. He had dropped his diamond, and didn’t know where it had gone!

“Who can help?” Dizzy cried, dashing about in a daze. Then, ding-dong! The doorbell rang.

It was Max, dressed as a doctor. “I diagnose diamond drama!” he declared.

Max looked in the dragon’s ears and took his temperature. Dizzy frowned. “That doesn’t help!”

Max disappeared. Then he returned dressed as a dentist with his dental tool.

“I see no diamond in your teeth,” said Max. Dizzy sighed. “That doesn’t help either!”

Max dashed behind the door again. This time, he came back as a detective!

“Aha!” said Max. “Detective Max is on the diamond case!” He took out his detective diary and asked questions.

“When did you last see the diamond, Dizzy?” The dragon scratched his head. “Hmm...”

“I put it down in the bathroom,” said Dizzy. “Then I had a bath with my ducky. When I came back... it was gone!”

Max grabbed his magnifying glass and dashed to the drain. “Aha! Diamond detected!”

Max got his tools ready. A wrench, pliers, and a drop cloth. He twisted and turned the pipes with great determination.

Drip... drop... dunk! Out popped the diamond that was stuck in the drainpipe!

Max dried it off and delivered it to the dragon. Dizzy was delighted, dancing with joy!

“You did it, Detective Max!” The dragon cheered. And from that day on, Max was a diamond defender and Dizzy’s best friend.
