Story Details

Lily steps outside and looks up. The sky stretches wide and blue. Clouds drift like soft pillows. She wonders, “What stories live up there?”

The morning sky glows gentle gold. Birds glide from tree to tree. The air smells new and bright. “Good morning, sunshine,” Lily whispers.

Some clouds are big, some small and shy. They change shapes as they float by. Lily spots a dragon, then a boat, then a bunny— and waves before they fade away.

Whoosh! The wind twirls her hair. It hums between the trees. Lily spins and laughs, dancing with the invisible breeze.

After the rain, the world feels clean. Drops sparkle on every leaf. Across the sky—colors bloom! Red, orange, yellow… all the way to violet.

Now the clouds grow taller, braver. They build castles of light and shade. Thunder rumbles far away— the sky has a story of power too.

Pitter-patter, rain begins to fall. Lily opens her arms wide. Each drop is a traveler from the clouds, coming down to water the world.

The sun waves goodbye, turning gold to pink. Birds fly home in gentle lines. Lily sits quietly, toes in the grass, watching the sky become soft and sleepy.

One by one, stars blink awake. They shimmer like tiny secrets. Lily whispers, “Goodnight, sky.” The moon smiles back in silver light.

Every sky is different, but each one holds magic above us. Tomorrow will bring new clouds, new light, new dreams. Lily closes her eyes, knowing— the sky never truly sleeps.
