Story Details

Once upon a time in Wonderland, only the Rabbits and the Mouse lived together. The Mouse squeaked, and the Rabbits hopped happily all day long.

Mr. Greedy often buried his carrots deep in the ground where no one else could find them. One day, Papa Rabbit caught him in the act. “Greedy Rabbit, why are you hiding your carrots?” Papa Rabbit asked, hopping closer. Don’t hide them, there’s enough for everyone.

But Mr. Greedy didn’t listen. “The food is mine!” he shouted. “Mr. Greedy,” said Papa Rabbit gently, shouting at your elders is wrong. It’s a very bad habit. Still, Mr. Greedy ignored him.

Wonderland was not happy with Mr. Greedy. Soon, dark clouds gathered, and it began to rain, plip, plop, plip, plop! The rain fell harder and harder until it washed away all of Mr. Greedy’s secret carrot stash.

By dawn, Mr. Greedy went to check on his hidden carrots, but there was nothing left. He cried and cried as his stomach rumbled loudly.

Just then, one of the Mice came up to him, holding a carrot in his hand. My friend, take this, said the Mouse kindly. Mr. Greedy stopped crying. "I was selfish… why are you helping me?” he asked.
