A FRUIT TREE
I like eating oranges. One day, someone gave me a seed and asked me to try planting it.
I tossing the seed into a crack between the rocks, hoping to grow a fruit tree with my own hands.
I going to the riverside to get some water, hopeinging my little seed have a good drink. The summer is hot,my head is coverd in sweat!
The little seed is having a good drink, and it’s sprouting! The very first leaf is quietly growing out.
My little tree is growing taller and taller.
The summer is getting hotter and hotter. I’m taking the rainbow umbrella my mom gave me to shade my little tree, hoping it won’t cry under the burning sun.
The caterpillar is coming. He wants to be friends with the leaves.
I want to be friends with the caterpillar too. I reach out to touch him, and look !A mosquito just bit a big bump on my hand!
The bee is coming too,she likes my little tree as well.
It’s raining hard,the animals wisely come under the tree to stay out of the rain.
A few months go by. One day, I notice something red growing among the thick leaves. I take a closer look,it’s a fruit! My tree really has oranges now!
I’m so happy I’m bouncing like a little bunny!!
The oranges on the tree are growing more and more. I’m taking my basket and going to pick them.
Wow! These are the oranges from the tree I planted, I’m so proud!
Such a wonderful thing must be shared with family. Tonight, on our dinner table, are the oranges I grew myself.The seed I planted is hope and light!
