Toby, a fluffy brown puppy, chases a swirling red leaf from under an apple tree, past fragrant red roses, over a fence into a green field. He meets Bear Bo picking sweet blackberries. Together they splash in a cool stream with tiny fish, then curl up as the leaf settles at sunset.

Story Details

Toby is a little dog. Toby has brown fur. Toby is lying under an apple tree.

Toby sees a red leaf falling down. The leaf flies with the wind. Toby runs after the leaf.

The leaf flies over the flower garden. There are red roses. Toby smells the flowers. The flowers smell nice.

The leaf flies to a wooden fence. Toby jumps over the fence. On the other side is a green grass field.

In the field is friend Bear named Bo. Bo is picking blackberries. Bo says, “Hi Toby!”

Toby and Bo eat blackberries together. The berries are sweet. Both friends smile.

The red leaf flies high in the sky. Toby and Bo run after the leaf. They run past a small clear stream.

The stream water is cool. Toby and Bo dip their paws in the water. Little fish swim around their paws.

The sun goes down. The red leaf falls to the ground. Toby hugs the leaf and goes home.

Toby sleeps next to Bo. Toby dreams about the red leaf and blackberries. Tomorrow they will play again!
