Ray giggled loud, a sunny shout, “Come on, little bloom, peek right out!” The flower trembled, shook with fright, Tucked deeper, out of Ray’s bright light.
Ray pouted then, “What can I do?” He bounced again, a sunny view. He tickled leaves with golden rays, Through warming, bright and sunny days.
The flower quivered, tiny tears, Still hiding all its budding years. It stayed quite closed, a verdant ball, Not wanting to unfurl at all.
Ray frowned, then thought, a gentle sigh, “Perhaps my laugh is much too high.” He softened then, a whispered gleam, A quiet, golden, gentle dream.
He touched the bud, so soft and low, A tiny, tender, knowing glow. No boisterous laugh, no sunny shout, Just quiet warmth, to help it out.
The flower felt the soft, sweet touch, It didn't hurt, it meant so much. A petal peeked, then one, then two, Of lovely, purple, gentle hue.
It stretched its face, so sweet and mild, Ray smiled, a happy, quiet child. The flower bloomed, a joyful sight, Both understood the gentle light.
