Story Details

In a quiet green meadow lived a tiny caterpillar named Wiggle. She was soft green with fuzzy stripes.

Every day, Wiggle ate and ate—crunch, crunch—growing fatter and happier.

She watched butterflies dance. “I want wings too,” she whispered to the daisies.

One morning she felt sleepy. “Time to rest,” said the wind. Wiggle spun silky thread—swirl, swirl.

She added red from rose petals, yellow from dandelions, blue from forget-me-nots—rainbow silk!

Inside the cocoon, Wiggle dreamed. Days turned to weeks. The meadow missed her.

A ladybug guarded it. “She’s becoming magic,” she told the ants.

One sunny morning—CRACK! The cocoon shook. A wet wing poked out—orange!

Then blue, purple, green—Wiggle burst free as the most colorful butterfly ever!

She flew high—loop, loop—sprinkling rainbow dust on every flower.

Her old friends cheered. “You waited and became a rainbow!” the daisies sang.

Wiggle landed gently. “Waiting inside made me strong,” she told the new caterpillars.

From then on, every cocoon in the meadow was woven with flower colors.

Wiggle learned that slow change inside a cozy home grows the brightest wings.

Every spring, butterflies remember: “Thank you, Wiggle, for teaching us to wait beautifully.”

And the meadow stays forever colorful, because one little caterpillar dared to dream in silk.
