Sunny the sparrow, small and bright, Had sunflower seeds, a yellow light. She kept them safe, each golden dot, In her tiny beak, a precious lot.
Then, swoop! A hawk, with wings so grand, Scattered her seeds across the Sky Meadow land.
Oh, what a mess, a yellow flurry! Sunny chased them, in a worried hurry.
She fluttered down, then saw a sight, A finch so cold, with wings held tight. "My seeds, my seeds!" cried Sunny, sad.
But gave one up, not feeling bad. That finch chirped warm, a happy sound, As Sunny's heart began to pound.
More seeds flew far, a dazzling stream, Past a hungry mouse, in a silent dream. "My seeds, my seeds!" cried Sunny, low.
But shared a seed, to help him grow. The mouse nibbled fast, with happy chew, And Sunny felt a warmth anew.
Her last seed bounced, so very far, Near a little child, like a shining star. This child had never seen a flower, No yellow bloom, in sun or shower. "My seed, my seed!" cried Sunny, teary.
But gave it up, though feeling weary. She cracked it open, soft and slow, For the child to plant, and watch it grow.
One bright small sprout, in tiny hand, Made Sky Meadow bloom across the land.
Now miles of yellow, bold and tall, Sunny sings loudest, for one and all.
Her beak is empty, but her heart's so full, She helped the world, a wondrous pull.
