Story Details

The Leaf Home Hug Oliver lived in a tiny house at the edge of the woods. His family looked as if they were shaped from gentle leaf layers—soft edges, warm colors, and little veins glowing under the sunlight.

Every evening, Oliver and his sister Mia helped their mom water the garden. Their leaf-hands brushed together, making a soft rustling sound like a quiet song. Their dad always joined in afterward, carrying tools that looked carved from folded bark and paper.

One cloudy day, Oliver felt upset after losing his favorite toy. His leaf-shoulders drooped, and the edges of his paper-heart curled inward.

Mia found him first. She wrapped her layered arms around him, warm and steady.

Mom and Dad soon joined, forming a soft, leafy circle.

“It’s okay to lose things,” Dad said gently.

“But you never lose us,” Mom added.

Oliver felt his leaf-heart unfold again.

Surrounded by his family’s rustling embrace, he realized a simple truth— a home made of love is stronger than anything the wind can take away.
